Kothagudem: The activists of BRS student wing staged a protest at Yellandu in the district on Saturday demanding the resignation of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for irregularities in Group-1 exams.
The Chief Minister, who looks after the Education Department, should quit immediately, taking moral responsibility for the injustice done to Group-1 candidates, said BRSV Yellandu constituency in-charge K Hariprasad Yadav.
He said that the TGPSC has dashed the hopes of unemployed youths who studied hard to get jobs. The fact that there were 74 rankers from just two exam centres gave strength to the allegations of irregularities in conducting the Group-1 exam and the TGPSC had not yet given an explanation to the High Court in this matter, he added.
Yadav complained that irregularities had taken place in the Group-1 examination six months ago but the Congress government failed to take action against those who were responsible for it. The government should re-conduct the examination, he demanded.
BRSV leaders Bhukya Suresh, Nemali Nikhil, Imtiaz, Vaikuntam, Bipin Naiak, SK Chand Pasha, Gandamalla Ramakrishna, Ghouse Pasha and others were present.
