A 25-year-old youth, Eega Rahul from Vidyanagar in Jagtial, died by suicide on Thursday after his father warned him against playing online games. Rahul, a B.Tech dropout, had reportedly become addicted to mobile gaming and spent long hours on it.
Jagtial: Upset over his father’s warning against playing online games, a 25-year-old B.Tech dropout, Eega Rahul, died by suicide in Jagtial on Thursday.
A resident of Vidyanagar, Rahul had discontinued his engineering course midway and was staying at home. He had reportedly become addicted to online games and spent most of his time on his mobile phone.
Distressed over his son’s behaviour, Rahul’s father Srinivas warned him against playing online games. Upset over this, Rahul ended his life by hanging.
