Hyderabad: The process of receiving nominations from candidates for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency by-poll began on Monday.
Till 12 noon, an independent candidate, Siliveru Srikanth, filed two sets of nominations. Candidates were allowed to file nominations till 3 pm.
Earlier, Jubilee Hills Assembly by-poll Returning Officer P Sairam issued the gazette notification for the by-poll at the R O office in Shaikpet.
Meanwhile, the police made foolproof arrangements at the Shaikpet MRO office in view of the nominations filing process. Visitors who came to the MRO office for various purposes faced inconvenience as the police restricted their entry at the main gate due to the nominations process.

October 13: ECI’s gazette notification issued; acceptance of nominations began
October 21: Last date for filing nominations
October 22: Scrutiny of nominations
October 24: Withdrawal of candidature
