Residents from Secunderabad Cantonment have taken to Jubilee Hills to warn voters against falling for Congress’s false promises. Using a creative campaign with dressed chickens, they highlighted unfulfilled promises from the past and urged residents to vote wisely in the November bypoll

Hyderabad: In a creative campaign twist, residents of the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency have taken to the streets of Jubilee Hills, cautioning voters not to fall for the Congress’s false promises.

Groups of women, holding dressed chickens as props, went door to door symbolically comparing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s assurances to the scene in Aha Naa Pellanta, where a chicken is shown but never served. They said the Congress had made similar promises during the Cantonment bypoll but delivered none.

Listing unfulfilled assurances including land pattas, 6,000 Indiramma houses, Rs 1,000 crore development funds, enhanced social security pensions, and a sports complex, they appealed to voters not to be misled again.

“Do not get fooled by Revanth Reddy’s false promises as we were. He makes people’s hopes rise only to leave them hungry for results,” they said, urging Jubilee Hills residents to choose wisely in the November 11 bypoll.
