Two men in Adilabad were arrested for allegedly blackmailing a woman with private photographs taken under false pretences. The accused, Shaik Salman and Imran Khan, reportedly threatened to share the images online and with her family after she refused a marriage proposal.
Adilabad: Two persons were arrested for allegedly threatening and blackmailing a woman in Mavala mandal centre on Saturday.
Police said that Shaik Salman, an auto-rickshaw driver and Imran Khan, a chicken trader, were apprehended for harassing two women by threatening to expose intimate photographs of one of them.
Salman had befriended the woman in the name of love and took her photographs under the guise of celebrating her birthday in a park recently.
He then threatened to upload her photographs on social media platforms and share them with her family members when she rejected Salman’s proposal to marry her, with the help of Imran.
