A young couple from Manchal mandal died by suicide in separate incidents, sparking grief across two villages. The woman’s family blamed her partner for her death, prompting a protest at the local police station. Police have launched an investigation.
Hyderabad: A young couple ended their lives in a tragic turn of events at Arutla village in Manchal on city suburb.
According to reports, Nandini (18) and Nagaraju, both residents of the village, had been in love for some time. On Monday, when Nandini was alone at home, she allegedly took her own life by hanging.
Her family members accused Nagaraju of being responsible for her death and staged a protest in front of the Manchal police station, demanding justice.
Upon learning about Nandini’s death, Nagaraju went to Agapally village under the same mandal and died by suicide by hanging from a tree.
The double tragedy has cast a pall of gloom over the villages, leaving locals deeply shocked and mourning the loss of the young couple.
The police are investigating.
