Separate road accidents in Telangana on Tuesday left one person dead and 20 others injured. Major mishaps occurred in Karimnagar, Mancherial, and Nalgonda districts involving RTC and private buses, a lorry, and tractors, with police attributing causes to rash driving and negligence

Karimnagar: Fifteen persons were injured in a road accident near Renigunta bridge in Thimmapur mandal on Rajiv Rahadari early on Tuesday.

The mishap occurred around 5 am when a TSRTC bus from Metpally depot, heading towards Karimnagar from Hyderabad, rammed a tractor loaded with paddy bags from the rear.

The impact caused the bags to spill across the road, disrupting traffic for some time. The bus passengers and the tractor driver sustained injuries in the collision.

On being alerted, LMD police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
