Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar announced plans to integrate Artificial Intelligence and advanced technology into policing to improve investigation speed and efficiency. At a review meeting in Banjara Hills, he emphasised the importance of core policing values and warned officers against negligence.
Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Wednesday announced that the department is considering the use of advanced technology and Artificial Intelligence to expedite investigations and enhance policing efficiency.
Stressing that basic and core policing remain the foundation of effective law enforcement he warned that strict action would be taken against any negligence that tarnishes the image of the police force.
Addressing senior officers and Station House Officers at a review meeting held at the TGICCC in Banjara Hills, Sajjanar outlined priority areas including law and order maintenance, crime control, community engagement, technology adoption, and human resource management.
He urged officers to perform their duties with dedication and discipline, adding that officers would be held fully accountable for incidents within their jurisdictions.
“The policing profession comes with many challenges. No case should be treated as routine, every incident, however minor, must be investigated thoroughly,” he said, cautioning that ignoring smaller crimes could lead to major ones.
