Cyber Crime DSP N Venugopal Reddy addressed Bharat Dynamics Limited employees and their families during a Cyber Jagrukta Diwas event in Sangareddy, cautioning them against fake investment schemes, digital arrest scams, and fraudulent job offers.
Sangareddy: Cyber Crime DSP N Venugopal Reddy has urged employees of Bharat Dynamics Limited and residents around BDL Bhanur not to fall prey to fake investment, stock trading, IPO trading offers, or digital arrest scams circulating online.
Addressing employees and their family members during a Cyber Jagrukta Diwas programme organised at the BDL Bhanur stadium during a morning walk on Thursday, Venugopal Reddy sensitised them on ways to safeguard themselves from cyber fraud. He advised youngsters not to fall for fake part-time job offers.
He appealed to the public to report cybercrime cases by dialling 1930 or by filing complaints on cybercrime.gov.in.
Later, the district cybercrime police conducted a similar awareness programme at the Government Polytechnic College at Ismailkhanpet near Sangareddy town. Police also cautioned participants against downloading APK files.
