Kamareddy: District Collector Ashish Sangwan has suspended the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) and Mandal Parishad Officer (MPO) for negligence in discharging election duties during the Panchayat polls in Yellareddy constituency.
MPDO Lalitha Kumari and MPO Prabhakar were suspended for irregularities in compiling nomination details under Nagireddy mandal limits. When senior officials sought clarification on the records, the two allegedly failed to respond and had even switched off their mobile phones, according to reports.
Viewing their conduct seriously, and acting as per State Election Commission orders, the District Collector placed both officials under suspension, reports added.
