‘Ab South Ke Stars Ko Takkar?’ Kartik Aaryan Might Debut In His First South Indian Film
After redeeming Bollywood in 2022 with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan has indeed registered his name as a ‘self-made star’ and the 32-year-old has become one of the top actors in the country.
With his recent release Freddy, Kartik broke his ‘chocolate lover boy’ imageor the wo monologue waala banda to a serious actor, who can get into the skin of a character, even if the role is that of an obsessed ‘psycho-dentist’ who is on a killing spree.
In a recent interview with Koimoi, Kartik Aaryan opened up about his thoughts on working in the South Indian film industry.
Upon being asked if he wants to do a South-Indian film, the 32-year actor said, “the language doesn’t matter, the story does, and if the story is good, I will obviously do it”.
Earlier, Kartik Aaryan had discarded the debate of South vs Bollywood by saying, “bas chaar filmein chali hongi” , but the Shehzada star stated clearly that language is not a barrier for him.
Kartik Aaryan is on a roll this year with his blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, where he playedRooh Baba, and then, he starred in thecritically acclaimed Dhamaka, where he played journalist Arjun Pathak and now, in and as Freddy, where he plays a dentist, who can go to any extent for his revenge.
The actor has been super choosy and versatile with his roles and has proved his acting chops in Dhamaka and Freddy along with commercial hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
He has not only become the audience’s favorite, but also the producers’ favourite as he has signed some big-budget films including Hera Pheri 3, effectively ‘replacing’ Akshay Kumar.
Recently, the first look for his upcoming film Shehzada got released and got good reactions from the audience.
Shehzada is set to release in theatres on 10 February 2023 and is the remake of Allu Arjun’s super-hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
