After Jacqueline Fernandez, Delhi Police quizzes Nora Fatehi for 6 hours in Rs 200-crore scam

Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi was questioned for over six hours by the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police on Thursday in connection with an extortion case linked to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. This comes a day after Jacqueline Fernandez was quizzed for nearly eight hours in the same case.

Last month, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the money trail in the extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar, filed a charge sheet naming actor Jacqueline Fernandez as an accused. Later, Nora Fatehi was questioned by the ED in the same case.

However, the Delhi Police said that Nora Fatehi has no direct connection with Jacqueline with respect to the case but was called for questioning together with Pinky Irani, who was tasked to introduce Jacqueline Fernandez to the conman and was allegedly paid in crores of rupees for the job.

“Since Pinky Irani is here, we want to interrogate both of them. There are certain things that need to be clarified. There’s no direct connection between Nora and Jacqueline with respect to this case,” said Ravindra Yadav, Ravindra Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police, EOW.

According to police, Nora Fatehi received gifts from conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar from the proceeds of the crime. She was also allegedly part of an event in Chennai which had links to a crime syndicate.

Meanwhile, Nora’s brother-in-law, Bobby, has admitted that he was gifted a BMW worth Rs 65 lakh by Sukesh Chandrashekhar, sources added.
