Hyderabad: After overnight spells, Hyderabad to a large extent remained free of rains till evening, though the overall weather stayed overcast.
With the mercury dropping due to the continuing rains and cloudy skies, residents remained apprehensive of fresh showers and most preferred to stay indoors rather than venture out. Given the recent instances of waterlogged roads and traffic jams whenever it rained heavily, many avoided travelling to keep clear of traffic snarls.
However, forecasts suggested the likelihood of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mahabubabad and Mulugu till the early hours of Sunday.
