agan reels out government programmes at meet

KAKINADA: In a marked deviation from his earlier speeches, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy dedicated most of his time to talk about the successful implementation of schemes, and less on flaying opposition leaders, while launching the third phase of the YSR Aasara scheme at Denduluru village in Eluru district.

Further, Jagan Mohan Reddy always raises concerns over MLAs’ grievances in their constituencies which also he avoided by not giving any assurances to Denduluru MLA Kotharu Abbayya Chowdary for his requests.

Sharing the stage, Chowdary requested Jagan Mohan Reddy to sanction junior and degree colleges in various places in the Denduluru constituency, set up a 33/11 KV substation, and modernisation of Eluru Canal, among others. He also appreciated the Chief Minister for implementing various welfare schemes, especially housing schemes which he said were successfully implemented in his constituency. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy did not make any promises and later advised Chowdary to submit his grievances on paper.

Prior to the arrival at the public meeting, the Chief Minister launched development works worth Rs 200 crore in the Denduluru Assembly constituency. He set the stone for the construction of a lift irrigation scheme of Rs 68.85 crore at Jagannadhapuram village in Pedavegi Mandal, a CWC scheme at a cost of Rs 61.60 crore to supply drinking water to 42 villages in Pedavegi Mandal, double line bridge works near Balive village in Musunuru Mandal that costs Rs 18.33 crore, a primary Hospital at a cost of Rs 2 crore at Vijayarayi village in Denduluru mandal and development of BT roads in Denduluru constituency costing Rs 9.15 crore. He also inaugurated a community health centre at a cost of Rs 2.78 crore with 30 beds at Denduluru.

He visited various product stalls set up by SHGs. While Society of Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) CEO Md Imthiaz explained about the stalls to the Chief Minister. Eluru DSP explained about the DISHA app status. Later, the Chief Minister took a group photo with YSRC Aasara beneficiaries.

Deputy Chief Minister B. Mutyala Naidu and Eluru district collector V. Prasanna Venkatesh explained about the welfare schemes to the Chief Minister. Venkatesh said that Rs 1,090 crore was been given to women belonging to SHGs in Eluru district in three phases so far to 3,89,446 women comprising 39,539 SHGs.
