The meeting was held days after the Election Commission allotted the Shiv Sena Symbol and Name to the Eknath Shinde camp. The Former Maharashtra CM heads the “Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray” group. The Shiv Sena (UBT) got the torch symbol instead of the Shiv Sena’s “Bow and Arrow”.

Speculations are fife that the Thackeray’s Shiv Sena faction and AAP will form an alliance in Maharashtra. However, there is no official confirmation.
