Anjali opens up on her role as ‘Parvati’ in Ram Charan-starrer ‘Game Changer’

“It’s a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to work with director Shankar,” says Anjali as she interacts with media ahead of the big release of ‘Game Changer’ in which the actor will be seen alongside Ram Charan

Hyderabad: Ram Charan‘s upcoming film ‘Game Changer‘ is set for a massive theatrical release on January 10, kickstarting the Sankranthi festive season. Directed by Shankar, the film will release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Presented by Anita, it is bankrolled by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banners of Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Dil Raju Productions, and Zee Studios.

As part of promotions, one of the film’s female leads, Anjali, spoke to the media.

Here are excerpts:

Q: You are having two releases this Sankranthi. How are you feeling?
Anjali: I’m very happy. Sankranthi is a big season for any actor. Acting alongside big heroes like Ram Charan and Vishal in these movies makes it even more special.

Q: Tell us more about your character in the movie.
Anjali: My character’s name is Parvati, which is also my mother’s name, so I connected with it deeply. Game Changer is a special film in my career, and I’ve put in a lot of hard work.

Q: What kind of hard work did you put into the film?
Anjali: I can’t reveal much because Shankar sir wants it to be a surprise. My character was challenging, and some days I carried the emotions home. Parvati will remain one of my most memorable roles.

Q: What is your character’s relationship with Appanna?
Anjali: I play Appanna’s wife. Our bond is beautifully depicted and is central to the story. There are surprises about these characters that you’ll discover in theatres.

Q: How was it working with Ram Charan?
Anjali: Charan is an incredible co-star. His positive energy brings out the best in everyone. He’s respectful to all, from the lightman to the director.

Q: How did you feel about working on a Shankar film?
Anjali: It’s a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to work with director Shankar. This, combined with acting alongside Ram Charan and working under Dil Raju’s production, makes it extra special.

Q: Is Parvati your dream role?
Anjali: I never had a specific dream role, but if I did, it would be like Parvati from Game Changer.

Q: Were you nervous working with Shankar?
Anjali: Initially, yes, but his calm demeanor made me comfortable. He’s an amazing person.

Q: How did you feel about playing a character beyond your age?
Anjali: Both Charan and I loved our roles. We had great coordination, and Charan’s support helped me give my best.

Q: How did you feel seeing yourself and Charan in your respective looks?
Anjali: It felt new from the look test itself. I’ve mostly done girl-next-door roles, but this film required a more realistic 90s look. The director’s attention to detail made it special.

Q: How was it working under Dil Raju’s production again?
Anjali: It’s always a pleasure. Dil Raju’s banner feels like home, and I’m proud to be part of their films.
