Around 400 delegates take part in ‘South India BHU Alumni Meet’

Delegates from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala participated in the Foundation Day of Banaras Hindu University

Hyderabad: Nearly 400 delegates from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala participated in the Foundation Day of Banaras Hindu University in a special programme titled ‘South India BHU Alumni Meet’ (SIBAM) at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology campus here on Sunday.

The SIBAM-2025 was inaugurated by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, Jammu & Kashmir in the presence of leaders from All India Mahamana Malviya Mission and BHU Alumni Association.

It opened with a documentary on Madan Mohan Malviya followed by a presentation on ‘Vangmay’ and a one-day seminar on the theme ‘Role of Banaras Hindu University in Nation Building’. A souvenir edited by Sunil Khanna and Dr. Vijay Singhal was also released.

Manoj Sinha said the BHU has provided modern education woven in rich heritage and culture even before the Independence that paved path of present day modern India.

Prof RH Tupkary, Hari Shankar Singh, National president, Malaviya Mission, Dr Ved Prakash Singh, All India Secretary General, Malaviya Mission, Prabhu Narain, Founder Member and Former National president, Malaviya Mission and others were present.
