Attack on journalist: Fresh complaint lodged against actor Mohan Babu and two sons

A lawyer lodged a complaint with the Pahadishareef police against veteran actor Mohan Babu and his two sons Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj seeking registration of criminal cases against the trio in connection with the abuse and assault of a TV journalist.

Hyderabad: A lawyer lodged a complaint with the Pahadishareef police against veteran actor Mohan Babu and his two sons Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj seeking registration of criminal cases against the trio in connection with the abuse and assault of a TV journalist.

The complainant Arun Kumar, a practising High Court lawyer, alleged the trio was just staging a family drama. Claiming it to be a film promotional stunt, he said there were issues in the family as such and the journalist who was merely doing his duty was attacked because Manoj took the media persons into the house.

He said in his complaint that it was a drama being played by the Manchu family for the promotion of a film acted and being produced by Manchu Vishnu.

The police are verifying facts in the complaint and said necessary action will be taken.
