Badan pe Tiranga lapete huye: Congress fires back after Amit Shah dares party to move court on Adani issue
Congress on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the Union Home Minister Amit Shah dared the party to move court on the Adani issue.
Firing back on Amit Shah, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said that they want to investigate Hindenburg, but they should be investigating Adani.
“There was a hit Bollywood song badan pe sitare lapete huye, but these people are planning to get Hindenburg investigated by wrapping Tiranga,” said the Congress leader replying to Amit Shah.
He further added, “They are saying we will get Hindenburg investigated but Adani should be investigated. What is the relationship between the central government and Adani and what benefit has been given to Adani in 10 years? These questions will be answered through JPC.”
The Congress MP further added that the Congress party has always been in favour of private investment and that the “party believes that our economic development will depend on private investment.”
Union Home minister Amit Shah, in an interview with news agency ANI, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has “nothing to hide or be afraid of” after the Congress accused the ruling party of favouring business tycoon Gautam Adani.
Shah also dared the Congress to move court over the issue and said the grand old party had made similar fake charges on Pegasus.
