‘Bhalo holo’: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on BJP losing Himachal polls

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said it was good that the BJP lost the Himachal Pradesh elections.

Mamata Banerjee was leaving SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, a state-run hospital that she pulled up for lack of preparedness at the trauma care unit, when she was asked about what she felt about BJP losing the Himachal Pradesh elections.

“Bhalo good (it is good),” responded the West Bengal Chief Minister as she walked away from the reporters who had assembled near the hospital and boarded a car.

The Congress defeated the incumbent BJP by winning 40 out of the 68 seats in Himachal Pradesh while the BJP registered a vitory in 25 assembly constituencies.

Mamata Banerjee, who visited Delhi earlier this week, met various leaders of other parties and emphasized on the need for Opposition unity ahead of the 2024 general elections.
