A 32-year-old woman sustained injuries after bike-borne thieves snatched her gold chain in Shamirpet on Tuesday. The incident occurred while she was walking along the road at Thumkunta, where the duo struck from behind and fled with a chain weighing three tolas.
Hyderabad: A woman suffered injuries after falling down on the road when two bike-borne persons snatched a gold chain from her at Shameerpet in the city outskirts in broad daylight on Tuesday.
The woman, aged around 32 years, was walking along the road at Thumkunta in Shamirpet when the duo who were riding a bike came from behind and snatched away the chain weighing around three tolas from her neck. The woman fell to the road while trying to chase the thieves.
The entire incident was captured by the closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) installed in a shop in the locality. The Shamirpet police registered a case and started efforts to identify and nab the thieves.
