Telangana Chief Minister hits out at Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay’s remarks
HYDERABAD: Taking strong objection to Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay’s remarks that balladeer Gaddar would not be offered the Padma award, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the area in which the BJP office was housed would be named after the Communist revolutionary.
“If the BJP leaders have to mention about their party’s address, they will be made to mention it as Gaddar anna galli,” Revanth Reddy said at Gaddar’s birth anniversary programme here on Friday.
The Union Minister had said that Gaddar was involved in the killing of many BJP MPs and had cited his ideology as well, as reasons for the Centre refusing to award him with a Padma posthumously as was requested by the State government. The Chief Minister had expressed his dissatisfaction over the Central government not considering the names, including Gaddar’s, that were recommended by Telangana.
“I thought the Union government will at least mend its ways in the future. People will teach a fitting lesson to BJP leaders,” he said.
