‘Boycott Samrat Prithviraj’ Trends As Akshay’s Most Ambitious Movie Releases, Here’s Why
Akshay Kumar is back to the big screens with his recent release Samrat Prithviraj that is touted to be his most expensive Bollywood film till date and his most ambitious as well.
However, the film has been in controversy ever since its trailer release.
First it was for Akshay’s casting after the trailer release followed by his statement about Indian history textbooks that was heavily criticised. And recently, Akshay released a still from the film where the audience spotted a silly blunder and trolled him.
Now, as the film has released in theatres, a section of social media users have been asking for its boycott and “Boycott Samrat Prithviraj Movie” has been trending.

One user shared a screenshot of Akshay’s interview from 2012 before OMG – Oh My God release where he said he won’t visit temples. On the other hand, while promoting Samrat Prithviraj, Akshay has visited a number of temples.
Pointing out Akshay’s hypocrisy, a user wrote, “Canadian kumar can do anything to promote his business Hypocrisy at it’s peak! #BoycottSamratPrithvirajMovie”.
Another user claimed that late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was the first choice to play the role and tweeted, “#SamratPrithvirajDay, Big Reason to support” sharing a meme about the same.
