According to the police, the burglar, tempted by the sight of all the liquor bottles, couldn’t resist and started drinking. While the exact amount he consumed is still unknown, he became heavily intoxicated and eventually passed out.
Medak: Liquor, plenty of it actually, was something this alleged burglar could not resist. In the end, it did him in as well. The man, suspected to be a migrant worker and who was yet to be identified by the police, had allegedly broken into a wine shop at Narsingi mandal headquarters.
According the police, seeing all the liquor bottles there, the burglar succumbed to temptation and began helping himself. The exact quantity of liquor he guzzled is yet to be ascertained, but the fellow got sozzled and fell unconscious. He was found lying inside the shop on Monday morning, when the owner, Parsha Goud, opened the shutters. Goud, who saw the man unconscious amid the bottles, immediately called in other people and the police. Since the burglar was unconscious, he was shifted to the local government hospital.
Later, he was arrested by the Narsingi police. A case was registered.
