JK Rowling: ‘14 is too young to decide whether to change gender’

The ‘Harry Potter’ writer, 57, has been flooded with hate messages and death threats since she first waded into the trans rights debate in 2019 but has now doubled-down on her beliefs – and revealed she questioned her sexuality as an adolescent. JK told ‘The Witch Trials of JK Rowling’ podcast: “As an adolescent… I questioned my sexuality, thinking, ‘Well, I can tell my friends are pretty. Does that mean I’m gay?’ “I grew up to be a straight woman, but I’ve never forgotten that feeling of anxiety around my body. “I didn’t feel like I fitted in. Aged 11 or 12 I looked very androgynous with short hair and I was acutely anxious about my changing body and became aware it was attracting attention that I didn’t welcome, particularly from boys at school.” JK – who has daughter Jessica, 27, with her first husband Jorge and who has been…

Jason Statham on daredevil stunts which resulted in injuries: ‘I shouldn’t have done it’

Actor Jason Statham has endured “many injuries” over the course of his acting career. The 55-year-old actor has performed a variety of stunts in various action films over the years and has ended up with injuries such as a torn bicep and almost “faceplanted” the ground at a speed of 30 miles per hour, reports ‘Female First UK’. He told Collider: “There have been a couple of situations. I think when we shot ‘Crank’, we were hanging out of a real helicopter. “A lot of the things we do now – with ‘The Expendables’ – anytime you’re on a helicopter it’s usually on a green screen. But with ‘Crank’, we were actually in a helicopter. We’re shooting a fight scene where I was standing on the skids, we have a small pick there. So it was a real stunt, you know, that one was pretty tricky”. He further mentioned, quoted…

Michael B Jordan makes a debut as a director with Creed III– the story of Adonis “Donnie” Creed. The earlier two outings had Stallone train Creed (Michael B Jordan). Eight films and 47 years later, Stallone is absent. The storyline is simple –Donnie has had a successful boxing career, is retired and famous. He is enjoying his life as a doting father and a supportive husband to his music producer wife Bianca (Tessa Thompson) in Los Angeles. Enter Damian “Dame” Anderson (Jonathan Majors). A flashback shows Creed Jr as a right-hand man of rising-star fighter “Diamond Dame,” and the two…
