BTS: Jin’s ‘The Astronaut’ breaks record for being fastest single by solo artist to sell million copies
Popular K-pop band BTS’ Kim-Seok Jin, famously known as Jin, is breaking records, one after the other, with his solo single ‘The Astronaut’. After topping various charts, the hit track has become the fastest single by a solo artist to sell a million copies. On Friday, artist agency Big Hit Music announced that Jin’s first solo single’s sales have surpassed more than one million copies, which makes the pop sensation the third solo artist in K-pop history to sell over one million copies of an album. According to Gaon Chart, an outstanding total of 1,024,382 copies of ‘The Astronaut’ have been sold so far. It was released on October 28, 2022. Co-written by Jin, British rock band Coldplay, and Norwegian DJ Kygo, the single talks about Jin’s affection for his fans. Meghan: UK citizenship test was so hard I had to ask Prince Harry for help
The Duchess of Sussex has revealed she found the UK citizenship test “so hard” that even Prince Harry was stumped by some of the questions. Meghan is understood to have started studying for the Life in the UK test after getting engaged in Nov 2017. Buckingham Palace said at the time that she intended to become a British citizen. The 45-minute test, which consists of 24 multiple choice questions about British life, is one of the requirements. However, the Duchess said that some of the material, which covers history, people, customs, laws and political systems, was so difficult that she had to seek advice. Elemental teaser: New Disney-Pixar movie explores a beautiful new world. Watch
The first teaser for Disney-Pixar’s new movie Elemental is out and it shows a stunning new world inhabited by different elements. Pixar is back along with Disney, with the teaser trailer of its upcoming feature film Elemental which releases in India on 16th June 2023. The film takes place in the fictional Elemental City, “where fire, water, land and air residents live together”. This original feature film is directed by Peter Sohn. The teaser trailer introduces its main characters Ember (Leah Lewis), “a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman,” who strikes up a friendship with “a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy” made of water named Wade (Mamoudou Athie), as the synopsis reads.
