Golden Globes is now a for-profit entity controlled by US billionaire Todd Boehly. The scandal-hit group Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) is undergoing a drastic change in order to “save the annual Golden Globe Awards”. The annual awards show will now be handled by Eldridge Industries, according to Variety. For the first time in decades, the annual awards show went untelevised this year amid criticism for the HFPA’s lack of diversity. The organisation has been plagued by allegations of racism, corruption and amateurism and has faced a lot of backlash in the last few years. Their latest move to hand over all assets and rights to the intellectual property of Golden Globes to Eldridge is said to be a “step forward to transform and adapt to the increasingly competitive economic landscape for both awards shows and the journalism marketplace.” Eldridge will create a new private company after it acquires all rights…

Olivia Rodrigo has ‘no plans’ to return to HSMTMTS
Olivia Rodrigo has “no immediate plans” to return to ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.’ The 19-year-old pop star started her career in the starring role of Nini Salazar-Roberts on the Disney+ series back in 2019 before being propelled to global success with the release of her song ‘drivers license’ in two years later and according to showrunner Tim Federle, she will not be a “huge part” of the show in the future. He said: “I would never say never to Olivia, and I would never use the word ‘last,’ because I hope the show goes on and on and on and we get like a [Grey’s Anatomy] ‘Patrick Dempsey on the beach with Ellen Pompeo’ moment 17 seasons later. But yeah, I think it’s probably a fairly safe bet to say that, for now, we have so many cast members who we love and who we’re serving, that…

Ana de Armas: There’s no need for female James Bond
Ana de Armas, who played mysterious Paloma in Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 in No Time to Die, said she instead wants to see more substantial, deeper roles for women in the spy franchise. Amid calls from some for Daniel’s Bond replacement to be of the opposite sex, she said, “There’s no need for a female Bond. There shouldn’t be any need to steal someone else’s character, you know, to take over. This is a novel, and it leads into this James Bond world and this fantasy of that universe where he’s at. What I would like is that the female roles in the Bond films, even though Bond will continue to be a man, are brought to life in a different way. That they’re given a more substantial part and recognition. That’s what I think is more interesting than flipping things.” Fans have been calling for a film spin-off for…

The Gray Man Review: Gray Man is too grey, skip it if you may
Hyderabad: The Russo brothers and Chris Evans combo had given Hollywood three high grossing films – films that defied what action/spy thriller should be. This outing, however, does not fit the bill. It is nothing but a mega-bucks confrontation of a spy-gone rogue-rehired, willing to go the distance to kill the unkillable spy. Based on the novel by Mark Greaney, this is the story of Sierra Six and his friend turned foe Lloyd Hansen. The storyline is simple. CIA’s most skilled mercenary Court Gentry, aka Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling), accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets. This makes him a target of the CIA. They rope in his former colleague, the psychopathic Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans) and a wide array of assassins. Here begins the globe tottering action sequences. Sierra Six is the new Jason Bourne. He finds a cautious disciple in Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas), a CIA agent who is also…
