The top three performers in each test will receive cash prizes of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000, and Rs 1,000 respectively Hyderabad: The Indian Institute of Management and Commerce (IIMC) College in association with KP’s 21st Century IAS Academy will conduct an online commerce talent test on March 24 and management talent test on March 27. IIMC College principal Kura Raghuvir said the tests, which aim to assess students’ knowledge in commerce and management subjects, will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. Students will have one hour to complete the test. There is no registration fee, he said. Construction worker killed in transformer explosion in Hyderabad

He suffered grievous burns and died on the spot Hyderabad: A construction worker died allegedly after an electric transformer caught fire and exploded at the industrial area in Kushaiguda on Saturday. K Nagaraju (37), along with his co-workers were clearing industrial debris from the transformer surroundings, when the incident occurred. Police said though the actual reason was yet to be ascertained, fire erupted from the transformer and spread to Nagaraju. He suffered grievous burns and died on the spot. The Kushaiguda police are investigating. Th Electricity Department officials are examining the cause.

Petitioners claim land as compensation for their properties submerged under Dindi project Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court dismissed a writ petition filed by 103 farmers from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Backward Class (BC) communities, seeking the grant of pattas for 164.20 acres at Kandlakunta Regadi in Amrabad mandal of Mahabubnagar district. The petitioners claimed the land as compensation for their properties submerged under the Dindi project. Despite having been cultivating the land on a 20-year lease granted in 1967, the petitioners faced repeated denial of pattas from the State government, which cited the land’s designation as part of a reserved forest.
