Suspects established a company named ‘We Own Infra Groups’ at Kukatpally and induced customers and investors in the guise of investment Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Economic Offences Wing (EOW) arrested two persons on charges of cheating people in the name of investment and buy back scheme to the tune of Rs 12 crore on Wednesday. The arrested persons are A Venkatesh from Jagadgirigutta and native of East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh and M Vamshi Krishna from Serilingampally and native of Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh. Textile company employee caught with firearm and live rounds in Hyderabad
Ram Swaroop, working in a textile company, had resorted to embezzlement of company funds to the tune of Rs 70 lakh Hyderabad: The Charminar police nabbed an employee of a textile company on charges of fraudulent activities and embezzlement of Rs 70 lakh pertaining to the company and seized a country-made firearm and five live rounds from him. The arrested person is Ram Swaroop (22), a billing operator at Rajlaxmi Textiles and resident of Mangalhat while the absconding suspect is Mohan Ram from Rajasthan. They demand Congress government to release their long pending fee reimbursement dues Hyderabad: The Telangana Private Degree and PG Colleges Management Association (TPDMA) on Tuesday threatened to boycott upcoming regular semester examinations, if the Congress government fails to release their long pending fee reimbursement dues. In a plea to Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, association president Dr B Suryanarayana Reddy and general secretary Yada Ramakrishna urged him to clear pending fee, amounting to Rs 2,500 crore, by March 20. Six arrested for stealing property worth Rs 35 lakh in Hyderabad
Police recovered property worth Rs 28 lakh from them Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police on Tuesday arrested six persons for allegedly stealing property from the house of their employer. The arrested persons are Shaik Haseena, Shaik Waheeda and Lotha Anusha, all housekeepers along with two accomplices Salima Begum and L Adilakshmi. According to the police, Haseena, Waheeda and Anusha, while working in the house of businessman had stolen property valued at around Rs 35 lakh. Hyderabad: PD Act invoked against Dhoolpet’s ‘ganja don’ Anguri Bai
A total of 30 cases are registered against her at different police stations in the city for drug peddling Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district collector, Anudeep Durishetty invoked PD Act against notorious ganja peddler Anguri Bai of Dhoolpet on Tuesday. She was sent to Central Prison Chanchalguda. The Excise and Prohibition had submitted a proposal to the Hyderabad Collector detailing about the activities and cases registered against Anguri Bai. The department recommended the PD Act be invoked against Anguri Bai. A total of 30 cases are registered against her at different police stations in the city for drug peddling. Basing on the request and the criminal history, the district collector invoked PD Act against the woman.
