Telangana demands halt to Andhra Pradesh’s water drawls after postponement of KRMB meeting
Asserts that AP has already utilised far in excess of its entitlement as per KRMB records Hyderabad: In response to the postponement of the emergency meeting convened by the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB), the Telangana government has demanded that Andhra Pradesh halt all water withdrawals from the joint projects of Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar forthwith. In a stern communication to the KRMB, the State Irrigation officials stated that Andhra Pradesh’s claims for additional water are unacceptable. “AP has already utilised far in excess of their entitlement as per the KRMB records and therefore cannot draw any water from the common reservoirs,” they asserted. Fraudster held for rental car scam in Hyderabad, 26 vehicles recovered
They took cars from people on the pretext of lease and made initial payments to gain their trust. Later, they sold them to car dealers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at throw away rates Hyderabad: The Jagadgirigutta police busted a rental car scam and arrested a fraudster on charges of cheating people here on Thursday. Officials recovered 26 cars, altogether worth Rs 2.5 crore. Hyderabad: TGSRTC set to soon introduce digital payment process
The corporation has already successfully tried out this payment method as a pilot project in some bus depots and for some services earlier Hyderabad: Paying for the bus fare, that too the exact amount without having to worry for loose change, is going to get much more comfortable with the planned digitisation. Youth jailed for sexual harassing minor girl in Hyderabad
K Dinesh (23), a private employee from Kothapet had stalked and harassed the minor girl in the name of love Hyderabad: A local court on Thursday sentenced a youth to one year rigourous imprisonment in the sexual harassment case of a minor girl reported in Chaitanyapuri in 2020. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him. K Dinesh (23), a private employee from Kothapet had stalked and harassed the minor girl in the name of love. Based on a complaint, the Chaitanyapuri police booked a case and arrested Dinesh. The court also ordered a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victim.
