Hyderabad: DigiYatra passengers at RGIA reach 14,92,776
Hyderabad: The adoption of the DigiYatra app at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad has witnessed a surge, according to recent data released by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. As of December 2023, a total of 10,61,638 passengers had utilized the DigiYatra app at RGIA. This number skyrocketed to 14,92,776 as of February 11, 2024. The Ministry of Civil Aviation’s report also highlighted the nationwide adoption of DigiYatra, with a cumulative total of 1.45 crore passengers across various airports in India leveraging the app for their travel needs. Owaisi urges Jayashankar to intervene and rescue Hyderabadi in Russia
Hyderabad: AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to rescue three Indians, out of which one hails from Hyderabad, who were allegedly stranded in Russia and forced to fight in the ongoing Russia- Ukraine war. Owaisi said the Indians were duped by an agent and sent there promising work as Army Security helpers. “Kindly use your good offices to bring these men back home. Hyderabad: 12 arrested in flat raid for illegal card games
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) along with the local police raided a flat in Padma Nagar Colony Phase-1, Balanagar and arrested 12 persons on charges of playing cards here on Wednesday. Police said the suspects, all traders from the city, have been indulging in playing three cards, which is a game of chance. Officials seized cash of Rs.1.7 lakh, 2 cars, 10 mobile phones and other material from them.

Hyderabad: One dead, three injured as car falls off ORR at Narsingi
Hyderabad: A person has died and at least three more travellers were injured when a car went out of control and fell off the Outer Ring Road at Narsingi on Tuesday. Rash and negligent driving is suspected to have led to the mishap, police said. According to locals, the accident happened when the car was traveling from Gachibowli towards Shamshabad. On receiving information, the local police rushed to the spot and took up investigation. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Further details of the accident are yet to be known.

Beggar brutally murdered in Secunderabad
Hyderabad: A beggar was brutally murdered and while another injured in two separate but suspected to be related attacks by a group of three persons in Secunderabad on Sunday night. In the first incident, a beggar sleeping on the footpath near Monda Market was attacked by three men who stabbed him to death. The footpath dweller regularly sleeps at the spot and was woken up by the trio and was attacked. The trio then crossed the road and attacked another person indiscriminately leading to severe injuries to him. He was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment. His condition remains critical. Fraudster nabbed from Hyderabad for duping people with fake foreign passports
New Delhi: A 42-year-old absconding fraudster was nabbed from Hyderabad for allegedly duping people on the pretext of sending them abroad, a Delhi Police official said on Thursday. The accused was identified as Sayed Shoukat Ulla. The officials said that he was working as a ticket booking agent and was involved in a syndicate which used to lure victims on the pretext of sending them abroad by offering approved passports of foreign countries at cheaper rates. His arrest comes over a year after two passengers and an agent travelling on a fake Malaysian passport were nabbed by the IGI airport police. Watch: Car catches fire, traffic flow affected on Telangana Secretariat road
Hyderabad: Traffic flow on the busy Telangana Secretariat road was affected when a car caught fire on Thursday evening. According to the fire officials, flames started coming out of the car on its way to Tank Bund and noticing it, the occupants rushed out of the vehicle.
