Hyderabad: Congress activist Bakka Judson has urged Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to remove A.R. Srinivas who is leading SIT investigation Team in the paper leak case. In his complaint submitted on Wednesday, Judson held that TSPSC has been facing widespread criticism since the arrest of the accused involved in the alleged paper leak. Protesters have sought the resignation of TSPSC chairman Dr B. Four Sudanese women held with RS 1.94 crore worth gold in rectum at RGIA

HYDERABAD: Gold in paste form weighing over three kg, worth Rs 1.94 crore was seized from four Sudanese women on their arrival at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday. The women, travelling from Dubai, had concealed gold in paste form in their rectum, said customs officials. They said that based on passenger profiling, they intercepted the suspects, who admitted to having concealed gold paste in capsule form. Further investigation is in progress. Source

Sircilla woman gives birth to quadruplets

WARANGAL: A native of Samudra Lingapur village in Gambhiraopet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district gave birth to quadruplets – three males and a female at a private hospital in Mustabad mandal on Tuesday. This is the second delivery for Gottumukkala Lavanya, who has a nine-year-old son. She first delivered a male child, then a female baby, followed by two male kids. Doctors say such deliveries are one in 10 lakh members. Lavanya had been eight months pregnant when she fell ill. Doctors diagnosed her and realised the possibility of premature delivery. Over 1 kg gold worth over Rs 65 lakh was seized from two different passengers at the Hyderabad airport on Tuesday morning. Hyderabad: Gold weighing over 1 kg collectively worth over Rs 65 lakh was seized from two passengers, in separate cases, at the international airport here in the early hours of Tuesday, Customs officials said. Based on passenger profiling, Customs Air Intelligence officers intercepted one male passenger who came by a flight from Dubai and on searching the passenger, three capsules of gold in paste form weighing 840 gm (approximately Rs 51.24 lakh value) was found concealed in rectum, a release from Customs said.
