Hyderabad has faced floods for over 450 years, starting in 1572. Major floods in 1631, 1831, and especially 1908 caused massive damage. Hyderabad crime rate drops 17 pc in 11 months, cybercrime and property offenses decline

Hyderabad’s crime rate fell 17% from September 2024 to August 2025. FIRs dropped from 38,206 to 31,533, with notable declines in cybercrime, property offenses, rape, and kidnapping, while dowry death cases increased, according to Police Commissioner C.V. Anand.
