Hyderabad: 14 drug addicts opt for rehabilitation: TGANB
The next 30 days in rehabilitation will be a crucial turning point, offering them a real chance at recovery, say TGANB officials Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) officials said all the 14 persons including women who were recently caught on charges of consuming drugs have voluntarily opted for treatment at government-recognised de-addiction centres. They sought immunity from prosecution by choosing the path of rehabilitation over punishment, under Section 64-A of the NDPS Act. The next 30 days in rehabilitation will be a crucial turning point, offering them a real chance at recovery and reintegration into society, the TGANB officials said.

A woman identified as D Radhika died by suicide at her home in Bandlaguda, Nagole, following frequent disputes with her husband. The incident happened on Thursday when no other family members were present. R. Rajeshwar Rao, an inspector with the Intelligence Department of Telangana Police, died in a road accident while on duty on July 20. The mishap occurred between Tarnaka and Habsiguda in Hyderabad. Hyderabad: An inspector working in the intelligence department of Telangana police died in a road accident. The inspector, R Rajeshwar Rao, as part of his duty, was riding his two wheeler from Tarnaka towards Habsiguda on July 20. “On the way, the inspector tried to avoid hitting a vehicle ahead of him, lost balance and fell on the road.
