The duty commander of a Norwegian Navy frigate which sank after colliding with an oil tanker has been found guilty of negligence by a court in Norway. The officer had been on duty for just eight minutes on November 8, 2018, when the 442-foot KNM Helge Ingstad collided with the Maltese-flagged oil tanker Sola TS. The smash tore a huge hole in the frigate’s side in a harbour in Sture, north of Bergen. In total, 137 of the frigate’s crew were evacuated before the vessel sank. Eight people were slightly injured. Sunak and Zelensky’s bromance shows Boris Johnson’s ‘special relationship’ was not that special

Boris Johnson liked to think that he had a special relationship with Volodymyr Zelensky, his fellow showman turned statesman. But while the two undeniably got on well during Mr Johnson’s time in office, Rishi Sunak has struck up a bromance of his own with the Ukrainian leader. That is partly due to Mr Zelensky’s own political brilliance, his ability to convince those whose support he needs the most that he has a unique bond with them. But it is also due to the iron commitment within all wings of British politics to continue backing Ukraine with warm words, weaponry and cold, hard cash. Mr Sunak and Mr Zelensky bonded at Chequers on Monday, taking a stroll through the gardens of the Prime Minister’s country…

Turkey’s presidential race to be decided in run-off

Turkey’s powerful president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will go head to head with his opposition rival in a run-off vote, the supreme election council has confirmed. Mr Erdogan led the first round with 49.51% of the vote, its chairman said. Although he had a clear lead over his main challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who polled 44.88%, he needed more than half the vote to win the race outright. A second round will go ahead on 28 May, with Mr Erdogan the clear favourite. Shortly before the announcement by election council leader Ahmet Yener, the president’s rival appealed to supporters not to “fall into despair” and to stand and take on the election together. But it was not immediately obvious how the opposition…

According to Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, these models featuring a 48-megapixel camera will use a three-stacked sensor that can capture more light for enhanced image quality, reports MacRumors. However, as per the recent supply chain checks, Pu believes that the stacked sensor may face yielding issues, potentially causing production delays for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. As of now, the devices are currently set to launch in September, the report said. Last year, Apple introduced a 48-megapixel camera lens…
