Chariot ride to be shorter for King… Did Modi rap Rishi over Khalistanis?

The coronation of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla takes places. We are not letting the bad news make us fainthearted. There are strikes by junior doctors and school teachers, and a war of words between the Tories and Labour to say nothing about inflation and recession. Ignore the local elections coming up soon. We are just looking forward to May 6 when coronation of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla takes place. Depending on which side you are on, the good or bad news is that only Prince Harry is coming, not Meghan or their kids. So that would obviously make many happy — as Meghan is not a favourite person in the UK — and the less they…

Humza Yousaf is facing calls to suspend Nicola Sturgeon from the SNP over claims her attempts to shut down scrutiny of the party’s finances are now being investigated by police. Leaked emails appear to show that the former first minister stopped plans to hire a fundraising manager for the party – a move for which colleagues had called in a bid to improve scrutiny and transparency of how money was being raised and spent. Meanwhile, a leaked video has emerged from the SNP’s ruling National Executive Committee (NEC) in which Ms Sturgeon angrily dismissed claims that there were “any problems” with the party accounts. She insisted its finances had “never been stronger” and that there were “no reasons for people to be concerned…

Israeli protests over legal overhaul show no signs of slowing

Israeli demonstrations against the government’s plan to overhaul the judiciary have continued on Saturday, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to pause the contentious proposals. Tens of thousands of people participated in the main protest held in the central city of Tel Aviv, while smaller demonstrations took place across the country. Protest organisers, who have held these weekly protests for over three months, aim to maintain momentum and increase pressure on Mr Netanyahu and his government until the proposed changes are scrapped. Bending to the mass protests, Mr Netanyahu paused the overhaul plans in March, saying he wanted “to avoid civil war”. The plan would give the Prime Minister, who is on trial on corruption charges, and his allies in…
