Xinjiang: China trying to erase Uyghur identity with forced marriages to Han Chinese
For decades, the Chinese government has been trying to rob the Uyghur people in China’s western Xinjiang province of their identity and culture. The Chinese government incentivised and forced inter-ethnic marriages that have been occurring in the Uyghur region since 2014, according to a report by a Washington-based advocacy group. The new research by the Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP) is based on evidence from Chinese state media and policy documents, government-sanctioned profiles and testimonials, and accounts from women in the Uyghur diaspora. The report, “Forced Marriage of Uyghur Women: State Policies for Interethnic Marriage in East Turkistan,” examines the Party-State’s role in promoting, incentivizing, and coercing interethnic marriage between Uyghur women and Han men in East Turkistan. Netflix bosses ‘furious with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’ over ‘fake’ documentary footage
Netflix bosses are ‘furious’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after their documentary trailers contained ‘fake’ footage of photographers taking pictures of people and events that had nothing to do with them. Since their release, it has been proved that the documentary trailers featured several ‘fake’ images, including a picture of photographers taking photos at a Harry Potter movie premiere in London. According to the BirminghamLive, a insider said: “Netflix chiefs expected the couple to flag any problems. Now the feel of ‘fakery’ has swirled around the show before it’s aired.” They continued: “The feeling is that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been more aware than anyone what footage was real and what could be highlighted as misleading. “Netflix chiefs…

MH370: Landing gear lowered before doomed flight crashed ‘suggesting criminal intent’
A pilot on board the ill-fated MH370 flight lowered the plane’s landing gear in the final seconds before it crashed, a new report suggests, supporting the possibility of criminal intent. A damaged landing gear door has been discovered in Madagascar, making it among the first physical evidence suggesting one of the pilots deliberately acted to sink the jet in the Indian Ocean with 239 people on board, The Times reports. The landing gear is the main support of the airplane when it is parked, taking off or landing. The washed up landing gear door has most likely been penetrated from the inside by the Boeing 777’s engines disintegrating on impact, according to a new report by British engineer Richard Godfrey and American MH370 wreckage hunter Blaine Gibson, published on…

Parliament approves law to limit requests for donations to religious organizations
Japan’s parliament has passed a law to limit donation solicitations by religious groups, a move aimed primarily against the Unification Church, which has garnered attention after the confessed assassin of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe linked him to the organization. The law has been approved with the support of the government bloc and the majority of the opposition, five months after Abe’s murder at the hands of the son of a follower of the Unification Church, whom he accused of ruining the family through these donations. The legislation prohibits organizations from “misleading” the public to solicit donations through “scare” tactics. Thus, it is forbidden to ask donors to obtain money through the sale of real estate and other assets and…
