Imran Khan pledges to maintain good ties with Pakistan Army Chief
Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan has pledged that he will maintain good relations with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, once he comes to power, reported ARY News. Khan said that he has never made disparaging remarks about Munir, and added that he swore to maintain a good relationship with the army commander, after coming to power. He claimed that the army chief was being misinformed about him by others. Zelenskyy meets Pope Francis at Vatican and seeks backing for Ukraine’s peace plan
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had private talks with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Saturday, later saying he sought support for Ukraine’s peace plan from the pontiff, who in the past has offered to try to help end the full-scale war launched by Russia a year ago. Zelenskyy held his hand over his heart and said it was a “great honor” to meet with the pope. India looking to force ‘colonial reckoning’ on Britain with series of demands
India is set to launch a campaign against Britain in an attempt to reclaim thousands of artefacts currently housed in UK museums as well as one of the crown jewels. The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has targeted the Koh-i-Noor diamond which is held in trust for the King and a number of museum collection pieces. The Koh-i-noor was seized by the East India Company after its victory in the Second Anglo-Sikh War of 1849. The diamond was not used in the Coronation earlier this month, with Buckingham Palace opting to use Queen Mary’s Crown instead. The helicopters and fighter jets were said to be flying near Bryansk, Russia Reports indicated a Su-34 and Su-35 jet and two Mi-8 helicopters were downed Two Russian warplanes and two military helicopters appear to have been shot out of the sky today close to the border with Ukraine in suspected missile strikes.
