Telangana: Rain, hailstorm leave crops on 1,900 acres damaged in Medak

Farmers in Medak, Sangareddy and Siddipet suffered massive losses as rains and hailstorm lashed several parts of these three districts. According to initial enumeration carried out by the officials, crops were damaged on 1,900 acres in Medak district alone due to Friday rains while the enumeration of crop loss is still underway in Siddipet and Sangareddy districts. The rains lashed the erstwhile Medak district on Saturday as well causing huge amounts of loss to the farmers. Since the rain water flooded the paddy procurement centres, the harvested paddy was also damaged at several places. Meanwhile, mango crop was also damaged due to hailstorm.

Telangana: SCCL gets permission for CBSE school in Godavarikhani

Besides well qualified teaching faculty, spacious classrooms, labs, playground and other facilities are developed in the school Peddapalli: Singareni got permission to run Godavarikhani sector-3 school with CBSE syllabus from this academic year. Hydraa demolishes illegal constructions worth Rs 4,000 crore in Hafizpet, Raidurg in Hyderabad

The properties allegedly belonged to a development group belonging to a political leader from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) on Saturday took up demolition of constructions estimated to be worth Rs 4,000 crore that had come up in around 39 acres of allegedly disputed land in Hafizpet and Raidurg in the city. The properties on encroached land were in the Sy No.79 of Hafizpet and allegedly belonged to a development group belonging to a political leader from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. Several constructions were said to have come up on the land tract despite it being involved in legal issues pertaining to encroachment of government land. Incidentally, the Hydraa had responded to a complaint from a youngster, who reportedly was denied access to the area for playing cricket.

Telangana: Two inter-district agriculture pump sets thieves arrested in Peddapalli

Around 39 agriculture motors, 750 meter service wire, autorickshaw trolley and mobile phones recovered from them Peddapalli: Potkapalli police arrested two inter-district agricultural pump sets thieves and recovered 39 motors from them. Producing the accused before media persons at Potkapalli police station on Saturday, Peddapalli DCP Pulla Karunakar explained the modus operandi of thieves. Sirigiri Prasad and Angidi Saikumar of Odela were arrested for stealing agricultural motors. While conducting vehicle checking near Shanagonda on the outskirts of Jammikunta on Saturday morning, police found two persons moving in an autorickshaw trolley under suspicious circumstances. On checking the vehicle, cops found agriculture pump sets, electricity service wire and other material. On questioning, Prasad and Saikumar confessed to the crime of stealing motors.
