Telangana Residential School student dies by suicide in Karimnagar
Vanam Srivarsha, a 14-year-old Class X student at Telangana Residential School (Girls), Vangara, died by suicide on Friday. She was found hanging in her dormitory. Police have registered a case and shifted the body for postmortem. According to school authorities, Srivarsh, who had not attended morning assembly, was found hanging in the dormitory when other students searched for her. 5K run organized to mark Police Commemoration Day in Adilabad
Around 1,500 participants, including youth and fitness enthusiasts, took part in a 5K run in Adilabad to commemorate Police Commemoration Day. Wine shop license applications in Adilabad drop 23 pc despite government extension
Wine shop license applications in Adilabad and surrounding districts fell sharply for the 2025–27 period despite the government extending the deadline. Revenue, however, rose 15%, with factors including higher fees, festivals, and alleged syndicates affecting participation. Adilabad: Extension of last date to submit applications for wine shops failed to evince much interest from liquor traders with erstwhile Adilabad district seeing a significant dip in documents when compared to corresponding licensing period.
