Man held for cannabis cultivation in Asifabad; Rs 38 lakh worth of plants seized
A farmer from Kolamchichpalli village in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district, was arrested for illegally cultivating cannabis as an intercrop in his cotton field. Acting on a tip-off, police seized 380 plants Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man was arrested on charges of cultivating cannabis plants in his farm at Kolamchichpalli village in Wankidi mandal on Saturday. Police seized 380 plants valued at Rs 38 lakh from him. Wankidi Sub-Inspector Mahender said that Madavi Nagesh from the village was apprehended while growing the plant as an intercrop in his cotton crop, field following a tip-off. A case was registered against Nagesh. An investigation has been taken up.
