Evacuation of stranded Telugu people from Nepal gains pace; 217 traced, flights arranged
The Andhra Pradesh government has intensified efforts to bring home 217 Telugu citizens stranded in violence-hit Nepal. Special flights and buses are being used, with over 130 already escorted to Kathmandu Airport, as coordinated evacuation operations continue with Indian and Nepalese authorities. Amaravati: The evacuation of stranded Telugu people from violence-hit Nepal gathered momentum on Thursday with a special flight carrying 12 people taking off from Simikot, while another group of 22 people safely returned by road. Minister for Real Time Governance Nara Lokesh, who is supervising the evacuation efforts, said an IndiGo flight is planned from Kathmandu to New Delhi to airlift over 200 people. Hyderabad student critically injured in road accident in US
Mohammed Zaid, a student from Old Malakpet studying at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, sustained critical injuries after being hit by a car. Siddipet court convicts man in rape and murder case, awards 20-year jail term

No leave without approval: New HRMS rules for Govt Junior College staff in Telangana
The Intermediate Education Department in Telangana has mandated that all leave requests by teaching and non-teaching staff in government junior colleges must be processed through the HRMS portal. Leave without prior approval will be considered as unauthorised absence, attracting disciplinary action. Hyderabad: The Intermediate Education Department staff, including government junior colleges teaching and non-teaching staff, henceforth have to avail their leave only after it is sanctioned by the competent authority through the recently launched Human Resources Management System (HRMS) portal.
