      Electric trap for fishing kills man in Telangana’s Peddapalli

      A 48-year-old man, Mekala Ravi, was electrocuted while fishing with an electric trap at a rivulet in Gopalraopet, Dharmaram mandal, Peddapalli. The victim, identified as Mekala Ravi (48), was electrocuted after accidentally coming into contact with a live wire.       Telangana: ACB registers 31 cases in August, unearths Rs 5.13 crore assets

      The ACB registered 31 cases in August 2025, arresting 22 officials and seizing Rs 2.82 lakh in bribe money. Between January and August, 179 cases were booked, 167 officials arrested, and disproportionate assets worth Rs 44.3 crore unearthed across Telangana.
