Motor vehicle inspector and driver caught taking Rs 25,000 bribe in Nizamabad
The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Motor Vehicle Inspector Gurram Vivekananda Reddy of Armoor, Nizamabad, and his driver Nelli Thirupathi for accepting a Rs 25,000 bribe for official favours. Farmer dies of heart attack while waiting for compensation at Siddipet Collectorate
A 55-year-old farmer from Thadkapally village died of a heart attack at the Siddipet Collectorate after waiting all day for a compensation cheque related to land lost under the Ranganayaka Sagar canal project. Siddipet: A farmer, who had waited the entire day at the Siddipet Collectorate to receive a compensation cheque, died of a heart attack on the premises on Thursday. Identified as 55-year-old Ramakrishnaiah of Thadkapally village, he had lost 2 acres and 22 guntas of land under the Ranganayaka Sagar canal. He had accompanied 26 other farmers from the village to the Collectorate to collect compensation. However, after waiting for hours, he collapsed and died on the spot.
