This gesture aimed to highlight the ongoing fertiliser shortage in Telangana. Rajanna-Sircilla: In a unique form of protest, farmers presented a urea bag as a birthday gift to a fellow farmer in Satrajupalli village of Vemulawada mandal on Friday. The farmer, Maru Kishan Reddy, was celebrating his birthday when other farmers and friends gifted him a urea bag to highlight the fertiliser shortage in the state. They said the gift symbolised the scarcity, as currently only one bag of urea is being allotted to each farmer due to the ongoing shortfall.

The court dismissed a petition challenging the discharge of her husband and in-laws, citing natural death due to pneumonia and lack of concrete evidence.
