Fire breaks out in civil supplies godown in Jagtial’s Metpalli
A fire broke out in the Civil Supplies Department’s godown at the Agriculture Market Yard in Metpalli, Jagtial, on Sunday. Two fire tenders brought the blaze under control. Gunny bags were destroyed, causing Rs 9 lakh in estimated damage Jagtial: A fire broke out in the Civil Supplies Department godown located in the agriculture market yard at Metpalli on Sunday. Local residents, noticing flames emerging from the godown, alerted the Fire Services Department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control using two fire tenders. Gunny bags stored in the godown were completely gutted. Market committee chairman Goverdhan said the damage was estimated at around Rs. 9 lakh. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Telugu cineworkers warn of film shoot halt over wage hike dispute

Constable dies by suicide in Telangana’s Peddapalli
Police constable Anil from Karimnagar, who had attempted suicide by consuming pesticides two days ago, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Peddapalli on Sunday. Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
