Gunfight between Security Forces and Naxalites in Bastar
A gunfight broke out between naxals and security forces in Sukma of Bastar in Chhattisgarh. More details are awaited. Sukma (Chhattisgarh): An encounter broke out between security personnel and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Tuesday, a police official said. The exchange of fire started in the morning on a forested hill under Errabor police station limits when a team of security personnel was out on an anti-Naxalite operation based on inputs about the presence of Maoist cadres in the area, he said. An intermittent gunfight was underway, and further details were awaited, he added.

Govt tightens import rules for platinum jewellery
The government has tightened import rules for certain platinum jewellery by shifting it from the ‘Free’ to ‘Restricted’ category until April 30, 2026. Importers will now require DGFT licences.
