COVID-19 Update: New variant in India, Hanoi cases down
The World Health Organization (WHO) designated new Omicron subvariant a “Variant Under Monitoring” on May 23rd due to early signs it may spread more easily. Hanoi: Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, reported 150 new COVID-19 cases between May 30 and June 6. This is slightly lower than the week before. Since the start of 2025, Hanoi has recorded 558 total cases. That’s 109 fewer cases than during the same period last year. Health officials in Hanoi are reminding people to stay informed about COVID-19 and other seasonal illnesses. Fire breaks out in Singapore ship off Kerala coast, 18 crew rescued

The Cyberabad traffic police, during a special drunk driving check held on Saturday night, caught 362 persons and booked cases against them Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police, during a special drunk driving check held on Saturday night, caught 362 persons and booked cases against them. Among those caught are 260 two-wheelers, 24 three-wheelers, 73 four-wheelers and five heavy vehicle drivers. The highest number of cases – 64 were booked by Miyapur traffic police, followed by Shamshabad – 42, Chevella and Shadnagar – 32 each. Of 362 people caught, 141 are aged between 31- 40, while 123 drivers were aged between 21- 30 years.
