Miss World 2025 contestants to be welcomed with ‘Hadrami marf,’ ‘Naubat’ at Hyderabad’s Charminar for Heritage Walk
Twelve member troupe will play marfa drums to welcome the delegates when they arrive in the old city Hyderabad: The rhythmical beats of ‘Hadrami marfa’ and ‘Naubat or Nakkare’ will greet the Miss World 2025 contestants when they arrive at Charminar for the Heritage Walk scheduled for Tuesday evening. A 12 member troupe will play marfa drums at Charminar to welcome the delegates when they arrive in the old city. A couple of Naubat nawaz will beat the drums at Jullu Khana entrance. Both the groups were roped in to showcase the rich culture of Hyderabad. MGNREGS worker dies of heart attack in Telangana’s Sangareddy
Errolla Manikyamma collapses at the work site at Raipally; doctors declare her brought dead in hospital Sangareddy: An MGNREGS woman worker died of heart attack at the work site at Raipally in Zaheerabad mandal on Monday. Errolla Manikyamma (62) had gone to work on the outskirts of the village along with her colleagues. She collapsed at the work place. When she was rushed to the hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead. She died of serious dehydration. MGNREGS officials visited the site and collected the details.

Kothagudem court fines 22 for drunk driving
Along with fines, 22 persons were ordered to do service for three hours in the premises of the district court. Kothagudem: Special judicial second class magistrate Mendu Rajamallu on Monday imposed fines on 22 people in drunken driving cases. According to Kothagudem one-town SI, T Rakesh 15 motorists were found to have been driving vehicles after consuming alcohol during breathalyzer tests. Five motorists were each caught by Annapureddypalle SHO, Ch Chandrasekhar and Paloncha town SHO, Jeevan Raj while they were driving under the influence of alcohol. Kothagudem: Youth told to contribute to development of agency areas
As many as 40 teams under Gundala, Allapalli and Komararam police stations limits participated in the tournament conducted following the orders of SP B Rohith Raju. Telangana private degree colleges call off strike, decide to cooperate for semester exams
Convinced with the TGCHE Chairman’s assurance, the TPDMA announced that they would cooperate with all the universities for the ensuing semester examinations commencing May 14 . Telangana: Farmer collapses at procurement centre in Mahabubabad
As G Satish was gearing up to sell the stocks, the farmer suddenly collapsed on the heaps of paddy. Locals said he died due to sun stroke Mahabubabad: A 51-year-old farmer collapsed at the paddy procurement centre in Pochampally village here on Monday afternoon. A resident of Sabbiskunta thanda, G Satish had arrived at the procurement centre to sell his stocks early in the day.
