Finland tops World Happiness Rankings for 8th consecutive year
United States and United Kingdom fall to lowest-ever positions in the happiness ranking. Washington: Finland is named the happiest country in the world for the eighth year in a row, according to the World Happiness Report 2025. Other Nordic countries are also once again at the top of the happiness rankings in the annual report published by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford. Besides Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden remain the top four and in the same order. How countries are ranked? Country rankings were based on answers people give when asked to rate their own lives. The allegations involved flying of a drone over a farmhouse in Janwada in 2020, for which the Narsingi police had registered a case alleging that Reddy, then a Member of Parliament, had flown a drone and taken photographs of the farmhouse. The police had filed the case under the Aircraft Act and various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Ultra-thermal cutters deployed to remove parts of the tunnel boring machine; reinstallation of loco train tracks under way Hyderabad: Rescue teams deployed at the accident site in the SLBC tunnel have been tasked with removal of 800 tonnes of steel, mainly from the wreckage of the tunnel boring machine and an equal quantity of debris. The work gained momentum with the restoration of the operations of the conveyor belt in a full-fledged manner besides further extension of the loco train. At work in the D1 and D2 locations, rescue teams have deployed ultra-thermal cutters to remove parts of the tunnel boring machine obstructing excavation progress. The accident occurred after a DCM van hit a private travel bus on the NH-161 at Kolapally in Pedda Shankarampet mandal Medak: Two passengers died and at least 11 others sustained serious injuries after a DCM van hit a private travel bus on the NH-161 at Kolapally in Pedda Shankarampet mandal in the early hours of Thursday. The bus was heading towards Tulja Bhavani Temple in Maharashtra from Srisailam. The deceased were Narayanamma (50) and Surapamma (60). The condition of several of the injured passengers is said to be critical. They were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Met dept predicts heat waves at 58 mandals in Andhra Pradesh
Out of the 58 mandals, 13 are from Srikakulam district, followed by Vizianagaram district (18), and Parvathipuram Manyam district (14), which are likely to experience heat wave conditions Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has forecast that heat waves will grip 58 mandals across the State on Wednesday. “Out of the 58 mandals, 13 are from Srikakulam district, followed by Vizianagaram district (18), and Parvathipuram Manyam district (14), which are likely to experience heat wave conditions,” said APSDMA Managing Director R Kurmanadh in a release.
